Adding in some number might help. Use 600 for example. Martha can rake 600 leaves in 4 hrs while her brother rakes 600/6 hrs. So martha is 150 leaves/hr while brother is 100leaves/hr. Together, they are 250 leaves/hr. 600/250=2.4 hours
