Algebra 2 question? Decimals in a fraction

..(-(5) - (-2.3(5) -2(-2.5-(-2.every time I do these problems I get the correct answer,......
Ok so my teacher doesn't want us to have a decimal within a fraction. So how would I do that with these problems?

this is a fraction bar
.....↓
5(-2\3)
________ ←that is a fraction bar

(-(5) - (-2.3)) ^2

and also

3(5) -2(-2.3)
___________ ←fraction bar
5-(-2.3)

every time I do these problems I get the correct answer, but not without having a fraction within a fraction, or a decimal in it, (i think you can't have a decimal in the numerator.) So can you please help me??

I suggest multiplying it all out then moving the decimal places as a whole. For example: 5.62/8.9
should become 562/890 then simplify. Make sure to move the decimal places at an EQUAL amount!

Remember, with a fraction you can multiply numerator and denominator by the same thing, i.e.

2/3 = 4/6 because you can multiply the numerator and denominator by 2.

Let's say you have a fraction like:

3.5 / 7

You can multiply both numerator and denominator by 10, to end up with
35/70 (which can be further simplified to 1/2)

Otherwise if you end up with fractions over fractions, you just have to remember how to divide fractions and simplify.

5(-2\3)
________ ←that is a fraction bar

(-(5) - (-2.3)) ^2

I am guessing in the numerator here
5 - 2 -10 -10
--- x ---- ------- -----
1 3 3 3 - 10 Product of the outers
----------------------- = ----------------- = ----------- = --------- over
( - 5 + 2.3)^2 (- 2.7)^2 7.29 21.87 Product o the innes
----------- -----
1 1

To get rid of a decimal in a fraction, move the decimal point to the RIGHT the same number
of places num and dem
- 1000
------------
2187

and also

3(5) -2(-2.3) 15 + 4.6 19.6 196
___________ = --------------- = -------- (now move decimal point) = --------
5-(-2.3) 5 + 2.3 7.3 73

First, a decimal means a fraction, based on 10. so, 2.3 = 23/10

Do the calculations: if you finish up with something like 0.12345, then that's 12345/100000
