If 3^(x+2) =18, then 3^x = ?
I think I'm thinking too much with this problem. I tried solving it by doing the log thing were you switch 18 and (x+2). The problem would look like this
3^18=x+2
That is definitely not the way to go. I have tried other ways and I'm still not getting the right answer. please Help!

-
3^(x+2) =18
3^x * 3^2 = 18
3^x = 18/9 = 2
Further x = log2/log3
3^x * 3^2 = 18
3^x = 18/9 = 2
Further x = log2/log3
-
3^(x+2) = 18
(x+2)log3 = log18
x+2 = 2.6309
x = 0.6309
(x+2)log3 = log18
x+2 = 2.6309
x = 0.6309
