So we have log5 + log(x-4) <-- answer d

I'm assuming you mean log[8](5(x-4)), if so the answer is a) because log(a-b) = log(a)-log(b), so

log[8](5(x-4)) = log[8](5x - 20) = log[8](5x) - log[8](20)
