^Can you please answer these math questions? easy 10 points.

You have to make a rectangular fish pond (2ft x 3ft x 3ft) where the length is 2ft, the width is 3ft, and the depth is 3 ft.
1) What is the space that the pond takes up, in meters squared? In other words, what is the area of the surface, in meters squared?
You need to know that 1 meter squared = 10.7639 feet squared or that 1 meter = 3.2808399 feet
The surface area is found by multiplying the length by width.
2ft x 3ft = 6ft squared
Using the conversion I listed above, we divide out answer by 10.7639 feet squared in order to get the answer in meters squared
6ft / (10.7639 feet squared / 1m) = .557 meter squared

2) How many gallons of water is needed to fill out the pond?
You need to know that there are 7.48 gallons in a cubic foot.
First, we find the volume of the pond in cubic feet by multiplying length by width by height.
3ft x 2ft x 3ft = 18 ft cubed
Next we multiply this by the conversion (7.48 gal/ feet cubed)
18feet cubed * 7.48 gallon / feet cubed = 134.64 gallons of water

3) A walkway is created around the pond and the walkway is a meter thick.
a) what is the surface area of the walkway in square feet?
Create a diagram with two rectangles, one inside the other:
_________________________
l___l________3 ft _______l__ l
l......l........... ....,,,,, ,,,,POND. ,,l.....l
l......l 2ft...............,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,......l…
l......l...... ..... ...... ....,,,,,, ,,,,,,,;;;l.....l
l___l__________________ l__l
l___l__________________ l__l 1m
1m
As you can see, the walk way can be divided into 4 squares that both a length and width of 1m, 2 rectangles that have a length of 3ft and a width of 1m, and 2 other rectangles that have a length of 2 ft and a width of 1m. Let's deal with each separately and then add their areas together:
