i missed the lesson and i have no notes to learn from.

How many ways can the event occur? A librarian has 8 different mystery novels available. How many different sets of 5 mystery novels can be chosen?

C(8,5) = 8! / [ (8-5)! 5! ] = (8x7x6) / ( 6) = 56 ways
