Which is more like Algebra

...without it does NOT involve trig.Pre-calc doesnt involve trig per my experience.I could be wrong,......
Trigonometry or Pre-calculus?

Which should I take after taking Algebra 2?

-
Probably pre-calc. Both topics introduce new ideas, and all the math after algebra will be based on a 'working knowledge' of algebra, but I think pre-calc is more like algebra than trig.

*** I don't like commenting on other answers....but pre-calc dos NOT involve trig. You can take a calculus class WITH analytic geometry or not with it. WITH it involved trig.....without it does NOT involve trig.

Pre-calc doesn't involve trig per my experience.

I could be wrong, but I wanted to point that out to you, just in case.

It depends on how well you did on Algebra 2 , and what you are pondering about what you are going to do about any further education . Advanced Algebra and Trigonometry will be alright but a pre calculus course would also look good on a college transcript

-
eeehhh its the same.. i hate that they made it that trig is different from pre-calc because its really not... trig is more like algebra but if you want to go further in mat take pre-calc..it wont make much of a difference though

-
Definitely pre-calculus! Trig is more like dealing with relationship and sides of triangles, totally different.

-
Pre-calculus

But it is used in Trigonometry too!

trig and precalc are pretty synonymous with each other. generally trig comes first as an intro to calc, but then they came up with pre calc to make it sound smarter...
