hi guys
I'm looking for a brief explanation on how a mobile phone(in general) would work
after recieving the sender's voice as radio wave, the mobile works on the delivered signal. is it supposed to be an analog signal?
will any conversion (analog to digital/vice versa) take place during data transmission(when you simply talk on mobile)?at what stage?

No it's a digital radio signal like XM or Sirius. It's amplified, processed and sent to a digital/analog converter which is them amplified and sent to the speaker cone which you then hear as sound.
Conversion only takes place inside the phone just after the microphone (for sending) or just before the speaker (receiving) everything else is digital.
