Increasing wheel size

My car is riding on 14s right now if we're to put 16s on them would I have to lift it a lot and would it affect it

To be sure of tire clearance you'd have to 'lift it' the difference between
the current and '16' outer tire radius.
"Affect" would be a change in final drive ratio that you calculate by
comparing tire circumferences.
