Can different size Nipples and Nuts connect

Can different size CGA Nipples and Nuts connect? Im talking about for cylinders. Is there a chart?

CGA connection fittings for compressed gas cylinders are intentionally made so that one kind cannot fit another kind of service. This is to prevent the accidental connection of a cylinder of a gas where the result would be dangerous. Each gas has a particular CGA fitting configuration and it has a designated number.
