What types of faults create a volcanoe

As subduction zone, which is a type of normal fault will produce many volcanoes
The subducting plate will slide beneath another plate and into the earth's mantle where it will melt, the molten rock then rises to the surface where it forms a chain of volcanoes

a divergent zone, which forms normal faults will also produce volcanoes, the crust moves apart, and magma from the interior will rise to the surface to fill the void, forming many volcanoes in the process

Faults and volcanoes are two separate manifestations of tectonic activity. If you disregard plate movements on a large scale there is only an indirect connection.
Whilst heavily faulted areas may provide less resistance to upwelling magma there is no direct causal relationship.
