someone was saying that they do the other night on the late night talk show phone in...commenting about all the recent earthquakes and that big one in turkey recently.
i was panicking about that statement....i have severe anxiety anyway....i live in a small block of flats on the 3rd floor of a 4th storey.......i live in england...and a couple of years ago there was a small earthquake that made my apartment block sway and wobble like a house of cards.
a small quake and fortunately they dont seem to occur that often in the uk.
but i was worrying from what the guy said even small quakes, tremors and aftershocks weaken building structures?
i was worrying would of it done any lasting damage to my apartment? my housing have never notified me about that quake years ago...or notified me..
am i worrying unnecessarily you think? will my apartment collapse?

Magnitude 5.0 and higher - every 8 years.
Magnitude 4.0 to 4.9 - every 2 years.
Magnitude 3.0 to 3.9 - 3 per year.
Magnitude 2.0 to 2.9 - 26 per year.
Magnitude 1.0 to 1.9 - 140 per year.

The UK is probably the safest country in the world in regards to earthquakes. One small tremor a year ago will not cause any damage whatsoever. If you worry about this, I can't imagine what goes through your head when you step outside the house.
