I doubt very much whether they even thought about it. Such a question is of an abstract nature and cavemen were probably more interested in practical matters such as killing off the saber-toothed tigers which were constantly threatening their lives. Likewise they would be more interested in getting out to hunt for food surrounded bu such ever-present dangers.

they didnt. in fact humans did not that the earth was round even in the 1700's. they believed it was flat. thats why explorers were scared to travel so far on sea because they feared that theyw ould fall of the planet.

The first people to know or at least suspect the Earth was round..were the Greeks in the 6th Century.
