Are the earthquakes happening in California normal

I was just wondering if it was normal for California to get all those earthquakes latly? The way people seem to be talking it's not normal. Also could they be getting a big one soon, and thats why they are getting all the small ones?

Well California is known for their earthquakes, but scientists have said that they're long overdue for "the big one". When the big one will happen nobody knows, but everyone would just have to be prepared.

Yes, they are normal. A lot of Cali sits on a transform faults that are very active.
