Pretty sure if this is possible a trig identity is used but I have no idea which one.

Not a trig identity, an algebra identity.

Difference of Cubes:
α³ - ß³ = (α - ß)(α² + αß + ß²)
x³ - 2³ = (x - 2)(x² + 2x + 4)

lim{x→2} sin(x-2)/(x-2) → 1, so you're left with lim{x→2} 1/(x² + 2x + 4) = 1/12

0 divided by anything is 0
