A couple of questions about the periodic table

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-11-23] [Hit: ]
Group 3 is Scandium, Ytrium, Lanthanum, and Actinium.......
Is Lutetium a lanthanoid? On some periodic tables, Lutetium (Lu) is on the far right of the f block and on some it is on the d block between barium and hafnium, so is Lu a transition metal or a lanthanoid?

What about lawrencium (La)?

Also, When someone asks about group 3, do they refer to the group that is the 3rd group across the periodic table, in the d block, or group 3a (group 13) that is in the p-block?

La is part of the Lanthanide Series. It is a transition metal. Lawrencium (Lr) is part of the Actinium series.

Group 3 is Scandium, Ytrium, Lanthanum, and Actinium.
