If you really want to be confused, tryWiki for the elements; Im not.......
I've seen conflicting data on this. Some says iridium is densest, and some says osmium. So which is it?

-
The reason you have seen conflicting data is because, as densities were determined and re-determined over many years, the densest "title" swung back and forth between osmium and indium. You probably should find whatever is IUPAC's most recent value and go with that.

-
You'll just have to decide yourself.

Back in the day when periodic tables actually had information on them, it was no problem to decide.

But when you look at Wolfram Alpha, there's about .03 difference.

If you really want to be confused, tryWiki for the elements; I'm not.
