25 mg in pineapple.Hoping this helps!......
a one-cup serving of orange juice contains 3 mg less than four times the amount of vitamin C as a one-cup serving of pineapple juice. servings of the two juices contain a total of 122 mg of vitamin C. how many milligrams of vitamin C are in a serving of each type of juice?

-
X= mg of vit C in orange juice ( 1 cup)
Y= mg of vit C in pine. Juice (1 cup)

a one-cup serving of orange juice contains 3 mg less than four times the amount of vitamin C as a one-cup serving of pineapple juice
X=4y-3

servings of the two juices contain a total of 122 mg
X+y= 122
------------solve by substitution

(4y-3)+y=122

5y-3=122

5y=125

Y=25

X=4(25)-3=97

97 mg in orange juice, 25 mg in pineapple.

Hoping this helps!
