Determine the limiting reactant if 50.0 g of
NO are mixed with 30.0 g of O2 according to
the reaction
2NO + O2 --> 2NO2

Let us see, mol wt of NO = 30,
so from the equation 2 moles or 60 g react with 1 mole or 32 g of O2
then 50 g will react with 26.7 g O2
so all of NO will be used up leaving some O2 behind, thus NO is the limiting reagent
