What happens when lamination comes off of wood

i got a new pocket knife and a tiny piece of lamination came off the wood handle and its exposing a tiny piece of the wood. whats gonna happen? is it even worth taking the knife back to the store?

David, you've probably purchased a knife of inferior quality. In the future, please buy only knives of American, German, Swiss, and Japanese orgin. Do not buy knives from Pakistan, China, or unmarked knives.
