im 12, almost 13 and i love science. I want to actually do something complex, or of the sort, but in this area of life, i just feel very helpless and like im too young to do anything complex, or productive. What do i do, or do you have any advice? Would it help if i rephrased this?

If you know what you're interested in, that would be a good thing to share with people. If you don't, you're going to get a lot of suggestions about things that you're not interested in. On the other hand, if you're interested in, say, particle physics, you're not going to be doing any original work in that area until the later years of your university post-graduate education. Your way around that would be to expand your interests. But in any case, you need to work with someone. Science involves many different kinds of skills that you'll need to work on for a long time. Is there a natural history museum near you that offers programs for young people?

There's an immense amount of work that's left to be done in biology. We don't know how an awful lot of stuff works.
Since the Second World War, the US has been spending a lot of money of science, and it's going to take a lot of study just to get to edge of knowledge. Read Discover or New Scientist magazine, and you can see some of the interesting topics. Fair warning, it's a lot of work. You need to figure out what sounds interesting to you and then start work. Good luck
