When vesicles from the Golgi apparatus deliver their contents to the exterior of the cell, they add their membranes to the plasma membrane. Why doesn't the plasma membrane increase in size?

I don't know off the top of my head. But endocytosis (including receptor mediated endocytosis) helps reduce the amount of membrane, so maybe it balances the membrane added by exocytosis?!?!?!?!?!?!
