In pea plants, purple flowers are dominant to white and tall plants are dominant to dwarf. You cross plants that are heterozygous for both traits (F1 x F1). What fraction of the offspring would you expect to be tall and white?

First you need to draw a punnet square. Use a "P" for purple and a "p" for white. Use a "T" for tall and a "t" for short.
Heterozygous means that it has one of each allele (form of the gene (in this case they will be PpTt)).
You need to figure out all possible genotypes a each parent can pass on (since they have the same genotypes, they will have an equal chance of passing each one on. Hint: You will have a PT, Pt, pT, and pt for each parent, now all as you have to do is set up the square and cross them! :D
Since you are looking for tall (which is dominant) you only need one big T, but since you want it to be white (recessive) you will need two little p's.
Once you do all of that, you end up with 3/16!
