Can somebody explain the rotors a little more simply? Thanks!-In old mechanical typewriters, pressing one key in turn hit a lever, which pushed up the corresponding letter to be typed. The enigma machine worked the same except that between the lever parts was a spinning rotor with grooves to cause an indirect key-press to type (thus code).......
I've read the Wikipedia page for an enigma machine to try to figure out how rotors, work, but it was really confusing.

Can somebody explain the rotors a little more simply? Thanks!
