If you need all the data produced for the power factor correction, let me know.......
1)A 10kW, 240V, 50Hz single phase cage rotor induction motor is 85% efficient and has a PF of 0.68 lagging. Calculate the moto current and the value of capacitor required to raise the PF to 0.93

2)) A load of 6.4kW at 240V is supplied from the terminals of a shunt-wound d.c. generator. The field resistance is 180. Calculate the armature current

-
The answer to the first one is 3.77455 E-04 Farads

The second answer is 26.66666 amperes

The first one was solved on an application I wrote years ago

The second one is solved by W = E * I or I = W / E = 6400 / 240 = 26.66666.

If you need all the data produced for the power factor correction, let me know.
