If two Manx cats mate, what is the probabilty the each living kitten has a long tail-1/4 will die, 1/2 will be Manx, and 1/4 will have regular tails.Mm x Mm mating gives you........
In cats with the Manx trait, the dominant M allele causes a short of absent tail, whereas the recessive m allele confers a normal, long tail. Cats of genotype MM die as embryos, If two Manx cats mate, what is the probabilty the each living kitten has a long tail

-
1/4 will die, 1/2 will be Manx, and 1/4 will have regular tails.

-
Manx genotype must be heterozygous (Mm)

Mm x Mm mating gives you.... 1 MM : 2 Mm : 1 mm

since mm gives long tail the probability of getting mm is 1/4 since it is 1 of 4 possibilities
