who knows, were past that chapter now Im not obligated to spell it correctly anymore, lol.-Because nuclei have membranes, and nucleoid means like a nucleus. Not just medicine,......
Why would you name it a nucleoid and not a nucleus?

-
The bacterial nucleoid is not membrane-bound so it is not a true nucleus.

-
yep.. in medical terms OID means resembling

I would also add that bacteria and archaea are Procaryotic which do not have a "true" nucleus. The Eucarya cells (Eucaryots) such as Fungi and Algae and human cells and others I reckon have a nucleus. There is a list out there, just know that Procaryots do not have a nucleus and Eucaryots do.

That might be spelled incorrectly it might be Eukaryot. who knows, we're past that chapter now I'm not obligated to spell it correctly anymore, lol.
