UFO DOES NOT MEAN SPACE ALIENS?
I hope it is SUPER CLEAR to most of you that UFO does not mean space aliens. Every time we see a moving object in space or in the sky that cannot be identified, the first thing that comes to mind is UFO. Well, it is a UFO but this in itself does not mean SPACE ALIENS flying an object unknown to mankind. What do you...

aladdinwa say: I say you're preaching to the choir. You're not going to change anyone's mind. Those who believe you, already believe you. Those who don't believe you, never have and never will.

kurisutarusqueaker say: its a weather ballon :D :D
-
Aquarius 1011 say: Some of the UFOs can be space aliens.

Phillip say: Of course not, but try telling that to the simple-minded.

Clive say: I say you're supposed to ASK A QUESTION!

UFOs are genuine, as we have as of late observed — yet that doesn't mean E.T. has been damaging our airspace.

"UFO" alludes to any flying item a spectator can't promptly distinguish. Furthermore, pilots with the U.S. Naval force saw quick moving UFOs over and over off the East Coast all through 2014 and 2015, in one case clearly about crashing into one of the secretive articles, The New York Times detailed not long ago.

Those episodes were accounted for to the Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), whose presence the Times and Politico uncovered in December 2017. (Curiously, those 2017 stories refered to Pentagon authorities as saying that AATIP had been closed down in 2012.)

say: I don't necessarily understand what you are trying to get at. UFO = Unidentified Flying Object. UFO's are objects that appear to be flying, which us humans can't prove of what they are. Could be aliens. Could be something else.

I am pretty sure a large portion of the population know this, so this "question" is basically pointless
-
say: Except some seem to have intelligent flight paths like someone’s controlling it. Asteroids or whatever will just go straight at the same speed.

Choose a bloody best answer. It's not hard. say: I say that in questions regular answerers read here, it's clear from the context whether or not the asker is using the term UFO to mean alien spacecraft. We answer accordingly.
-
Bill-M say: I agree. 90 percent of UFO/s are Man Made right here on Earth and most of them are Military.
The other 10 percent are acts of Nature. The Planet Venus has even been reported as a UFO when seen in the Day Time.
ET does not exist.

Firestormer say: Thank you Captain Obvious

ReductioAdAstronomicus say: I agree totally.

There is no reason to think that an object moving about up in the air, a few thousand feet up at most, has any connection whatsoever with outer space, where the nearest planet that could conceivably have anything like a habitable surface is hundreds of trillions of miles away.

The vast majority of things up in the air that people see can easily be explained as manmade objects such as drones, balloons, airplanes etc. The rest are either natural but unusual phenomena, or outright fabrications. This fact is consistent with the expectation that all these sightings could be explained if more was known about the object sighted, and the psychological state of the observer.

The questions of why people believe in spacemen despite total lack of evidence, and why they automatically associate anything unfamiliar up in the sky with space, are questions for the psychological profession and have nothing to do with astronomy.

However making that clear to a society lacking even rudimentary scientific acumen is near impossible. So the delusion of space visitation continues.
