Could space aliens impregnate an Earth woman?

nineteenthly say: Not if they were genuinely alien and had no assistive technology to "translate" their genes. One definition of a species is a population which can only breed within itself, although it's a bit sloppy for a few reasons irrelevant to this question. If aliens could breed with us, they would be human, i.e. the same species as we are. It's unlikely that there are other communities of humans out there in space because they would've had to have originated here and something like mass abduction or an ancient advanced civilisation would have to be involved, and there's no evidence of that.
