If the moon is a part of Mars, does that mean we already landed on Mars?

Ronald 7 say: The Moon is definitely not part of Mars
the Moon was actually made from the ejecta from Earth after a collision with a Mars sized protoplanet we have named Theia
Theia, became a part of the Mass of the Earth instead

Tom S say: In the minds of mental midgets.

quantumclaustrophobe say: The moon isn't a part of Mars... and, no, we've not already landed on Mars. The moon was formed when Earth got impacted by a Mars-sized world, but that was called 'Theia.'

say: There are a lot of "scientific claims" made which can not be substantiated! The moon's origin being Mars is one of them.
It is more likely that earth was colonized by Mars. Which means no landing took place on Mars, only take offs.
The accepted model is that the moon originated from the earth after the earth was struck by a "mars sized object". That does not mean Mars is the origin. It means something as big as Mars hit the earth.

Sharon say: no, our Moon cannot get any closer to Mars than Earth can--34 million miles (and that very rarely). Plenty of unmanned probes have landed on Mars since the first in 1976, but no people. The remark simply makes Phobos and Deimos jealous

-

conley39 say: No, it doesn't but we have landed on Mars - just not a manned landing
-
marys.momma say: We've sent more than one un-manned rover machine to Mars, to drive around on the Martian surface, take pictures, and gather other detailed information. But so far no human has landed on Mars.
Whether the Earth's moon was ever part of Mars is still an unverified theory.
