Could you walk on titan?

answers:
Funnelweb say: Yes, in a purpose built space suit. It would need to have a good heating unit. It would also need to be very well insulated for two reasons: firstly to stop the astronaut's heat leaking away and saving on heating, and secondly to protect the outside environment: you don't want to melt the surface you are walking on. The atmospheric pressure would not be a problem as long as the pressure in your suit matched the outside atmosphere: 1.5 atmospheres pressure isn't a problem for a healthy human being. And of course it would need to supply you with oxygen.

Adullah M say: Yes why not when we have our feet to walk even run on it.

Ronald 7 say: Yes
It might be a bit slushy
But knock yourself out

tham153 say: with a decent spacesuit, and avoiding the lakes and seas
-
poldi2 say: The surface of Titan has lakes of ethane and methane, but there is "dry land" made of water ice rocks.

Starrysky say: I don't appreciate frostbite in the -297* F surface temperature, even in a full spacesuit.

CarolOklaNola say: Yes, you could walk on Titan
-
Jeffrey K say: Yes. It is similar to walking on the moon.
But it is very cold. And the methane air is explosive if oxygen is around. And there are clouds of deadly hydrogen cyanide. I wouldn't want to go for a walk on Titan.

Vincent G say: Surface gravity: 0.14 g.
Pressure on surface: 1.45 atmosphere
Yes.
The temperature is extremely low, and the atmosphere is not breathable, so a suit is advised with a very powerful heating system.
