If the ISS used that, they'd pull Earth from it's orbit, so... they've never activated theirs.

bubby say: The gravity comes from science fiction writers not from science.

Dump the liberals into Jupiter say: Star Trek is science fiction. They are supposed to have invented artificial gravity that doesn't require spin. They invented warp drive, too, and nobody really knows how that's supposed to work, even if we were told it involves antimatter and "dilithium crystals" somehow.

the illuminati say: I still cant get over how all aliens speak perfect English

Nyx say: It's a nice plot device, that works well with the wrap dive, and the transporter.

Gary B say: The USS Ente4rprise has a Graviton Generation System. By generating positive gravitons, artificial gravity is generated.
By generating negative Gravitons, Anti-Collision shields and anti-grav units are produced.
The trouble is, in REAL LIFE, scientist have never found gravitons. gravitons are something that science THINKS exists,. but we have never actually found any PROOF that exists. With no proof, we can't control them or make them. So in real life we DO NOT have artificial gravity or anti gravity units.

CarolOklaNola say: Yes, they should be floating around. From technology that has NOT been developed, YET, just like warp drive, Where are the inertial compensators to keep people from being smash into protoplasmic glue and broken bones on the interior of the Enterprise when it goes to impulse drive? Where is the dilithium?
The laws of physics CAN be bent, but they CANNOT be broken.
I bet you you think taking a calculus course is mental torture, don't you? Can you do basic arithmetic WITHOUT a calculator?.
