This does not mean that they are the same as ours, with at least one planet that can sustain life. It only means that there are planets orbiting the star(s). The planets could be all gas giants, could be rocky planets with no atmosphere, or could be rocky planets with an atmosphere. It could also be any combination of these. It all depends on what was available to use to build the planets after the star(s) formed there.

A solar system is a collection of planets surrounding a sun. Our own solar system has 9 planets surrounding our sun. The Sun provides the energy to keep us alive on our planet, Earth, and the gravity to keep tour solar system together. Other planets are too close to the Sun (too hot) or too far away (too cold) for advanced life systems such as big plants and animals and human-like creatures, though some very primitive life forms may exist or have existed on other planets up to this moment we have not discovered any.
