Recently i read few thing about Deimos, One the natural satellite of mars. In that it is mentioned as it has the shape of the letter "D" . Can some one please let me know how the satellites with that shape keeps rotating in its orbit without any disturbance.
Why i am asking this is , Up to me the spherical shape of our earth helps it in keeping the same orbit.

It's a real stretch to say that Diemos is shaped like the letter 'D'. It is an irregularly-shaped moon, probably a captured asteroid, and the reason it isn't round is because it doesn't have enough mass. Bodies above a certain mass must become spherical due to the effects of gravity. Orbits have nothing at all to do with the shape of a body, since there is no air to aerodynamically influence passage.

Earth could be shaped like a cube and it would still remain in orbit. Indeed, we have made cube-shaped satellites and they orbit just fine.

Rotational periods don't require a spherical shape. Where did you get that strange and uninformed idea ?

Your reading list is not known to me. Care to list sources? As for Deimos having a strange shape, most asteroids might. We have seen potato shaped ones up close. Deimos could be one that was captured by Mars. Most bodies that are very small like the moons of Mars could easily be lumpy and not round. Gravitational attraction is so small.
