iv'e been watching some youtube videos about it and scientists seem to believe that if we were to enter a black or worm hole it "could" transport us to another part of the universe… is this possible? or is it just a theory? would we even survive it?
it would make interstellar travel much easier. to get to other planets or other universes. i know it may sound to you like science fiction but i just can't help being fascinated by the idea :)

It CAN be possible but may never be proven since no one would dare risk their life to enter and black hole. A worm hole might actually be able to transport matter through and opening and out the other side. The reason some scientist see this as a source of time travel is because since not even light can escape a black hole, if someone were to travel through one, they would be sucked in faster than the speed of light, which is unearthly fast! You would go from point A to point B, with is some 3 light years way, in less than a second. That would be beating time. The only problem with this and the number 1 reason why black hole- time travel may never be proved, is since matter will be travel so fast through the black hole, the molecular structure of the matter would be stretched and pulled to bits. So the chances of surviving is quite slim unfortunately. However, time is not something to play with. You can't beat the clock nor go back to what happened 3 seconds ago. The future is always happening, the present is also happening, the past is always happening. Creating a new past, present, or future will create chaos and disrupt the equilibrium of time. You see all those movies where the kids go back in time and change stuff the the future is all messed up. This is what will happen. Everything in the present is dependent on past. Everything in the future is depend on the present. So in order for us to go from earth to mars in 3 seconds, we'd have to go all Star Trek and take a ship into light speed.
