Proteins were made during the collisions as well which clumped together and grew, evolving, multiplying and becoming more and more complex creatures. Believe it or not, earth used to be a hell hole, life as we know it could not live in this hellion age of earth.

If a man set foot on it's surface, he would fry instantly from the lava and iron rich waters, making this place toxic for current day life. But back then, life could live in that water. Good thing too, if it couldn't, we might not be here! lol

Technically they were a UFO, Unidentified Flying Object. Since you couldn't identify them, they are UFO's. Sounds strange though...I do believe in aliens.
