We haven't gotten past cosmic radiation or have a solution to it, and as the deepr you go it gets worse and has more effect etc, its a killer i don't think we will ever be able to get past our solar system unless we have a ship that can go near speed of light but thats impossible. SO what is the point. All this money wasted on space exploration and rockets etc we could have saved the poor people worldwide more than 5 times over.
Besides what are they going to do on mars go there walk around collect rocks, come back and then what? It'll just be another version of going to the moon except probably less attracting.

The only point for space travel is to find life. We can send robots to do that for us.

And the question is...?
This really isn't a question, ya know - its just a whiney rant - or a rantish whine.
And if you honestly don't see the point to furthering mans knowledge with space explorations, then.. well,... then you might as well plop your backside in a sofa and find the 24-hour all-fake-wrestling channel.

Our sun is going to die.
Our solar system and our planet is going to die with it too.
That may take a long time, probably 5 billion years in the future.
But that 5 billion years might give us just enough time to crack the secret of the speed of light or even time traveling.
But if we stop looking into the sky and if we give up and stop space travel and exploration, we will remain as what we are now. We will not be able to survive the fury of a fiery death of our sun.
There will be no more human like us, not any where among the stars that we know of.
Looking for stones in the sky might coast us money or even life, but that might be the only thing that could give us clue or evidence of life else where or even evidence of habitable places besides earth where we could go.
