E = mc^2 applies to BOTH baryonic (normal) matter and energy AND non-baryonic matter (dark matter) and dark energy. I simply grows, a change in volume. It doesn't stretch - when something stretches it is made of matter and changes in length, width, and height. A vacuum can just increase in volume so that it "grows", with or without mass included.

The universe possesses a circumference that has continuously (although not uniformly throughout time, of course) increased since Time Zero. If you have any two objects that are stationary, or atleast stationary in relation to each other, the distance between them is greater now than it was an hour ago, and less than it will be an hour from now.
You can say that the space between them has "stretched" or "grown"; I'm not sure I see a difference.

our universe is basically an explosion. We come from an unstable point in the "multiverse" (although the theory hasn't been proven) that exploded and later condensed into atoms that formed us. So the fact that we're still existent means that the universe is still expanding, but eventually the universe will probably dissipate into nothingness.

it doesn't. thats saying theres something outside space for it to expand into. whats it meant to expand into to, other space? The infinity was always here, things just move around in it
