If evolution is true and we humans evolved from monkeys, then explain where our morals come from

“My morality does not come from religion. You do not have to be religious to have good morals.”So where does this stuff come from if we are just evolved monkeys?-Animals (some ) do have morality .Dogs , Chimps ,......
Ya know, you do not see morality in the animal kingdom. It is survival of the fittest. Animals do not have morals as we humans do.

Also, they do not have religion either.

By the way, do not say morals came from religion, because as atheist say, “My morality does not come from religion. You do not have to be religious to have good morals.”

So where does this stuff come from if we are just evolved monkeys?

Animals (some ) do have morality .
Dogs , Chimps , Bonabos , Elephants , and others .

Religion is a human creation as is the United Nations .

Morality comes from the Concept of Universal Empathy .
(Think : Do unto others as ...)
And the more someone or something seems like me the more I empathize .

We did not evolve from monkeys . We evolved from a very distant , common pre chimp , pre bonabo ancestor

This is how I understand it. Note, we did not evolve from "monkeys." We evolved from a distant ancestor. Anyway, to answer this question (we to start to touch upon an answer) is to look at the brain. Within the animal kingdom, old and parts of new brian structure are similar. Old brain = inner core. New brain (aka neo-cortex) are the major lobes. If you compare the old brians together, all are the same. If you compare the neo-cortex together, you start to see differences, especially at the frontal lobe. The frontal lobe, in humans, is highly more evolved and more complex. The function of the frontal lobe is exactly what you are questioning. The frontal lobe helps people make decisions and questions if something is right or wrong. So for human evolution, the frontal lobe is the key brian structure that separates us from other complex organisms.

It came from the monkeys, dum dum. Where else?

But seriously, "morals" are just a byproduct of the way our brain--with its evidently emergent property of cognition--evolved. And if you bother to look a little closer at behavior among other species than you obviously have so far, you see that even though other animals may not possess the literal ability to tell right from wrong and (thankfully) such "attributes" as self-righteousness, they HAVE evolved behaviors (such as altruism) that allow them to better function as members of a collective group or society than if they were simply solitary--look at ant or bee colonies to see examples of this, look at groups of chimps or baboons living together--they've all evolved the ability to function together, they've all developed social systems which include division of labor, caring for other members of the group, all of which increase their ability to survive and compete in the wild. So, it's not as if "morals" just popped up out of nowhere.
