Cal King say: Fewer human deaths, especially in areas where the killer bee has reached. With global warming, the killer bees will be able to reach farther north than they can do now. The killer bees are adapted to warmer temperatures than European honey bees.

daniel g say: Having kept a few bees, I simply cannot think of a single advantage to the loss of bees, and certainly nothing reasonable.
Between humans doing away with foraging grounds, excessive use of pesticides, and GMO crops, bees have it bad as it is.
Bees are the only animal that can produce enough honey for human consumption, and that is the best natural food on the planet. Kiss honey good by.

JazSinc say: The European honeybees not native to the Americas. With them gone, perhaps some of the native pollinators could return to their traditional niches.
-
Huh!? say: Even though honeybees are the best pollinators that the world's flora has ever known,

they are douche-bags with a caste system, and if the workers hate their queen they will collectively orchestrate her death.

say: nothing that isn't short sided to the point of insanity.
-
Nathan H say: There are advantages to having bees, not to losing them. They pollenate plants and produce honey and all kinds of stuff.
-
yagoubidris say: There are many disadvantages in the loss of bees and don't see a single advantage. Loss of bees is followed by loss of honey plants fertilization.
-
Marceline say: There would be no advantage. The death of bees will affect our nation on a catastrophic scale.
-
Lucius T Fowler say: There can't be any advantage. We need bees for flowers and grain to be fertilised, and the death of bees will be the death of many species of plants.

And I like honey on my breakfast toast. Where would I take it, if not from bees? It can be produced synthetically, but it's not the same.

And I got stung by a bee maybe three or four times in almost fifty years, and I love being out in the open. I think that's a risk I can take.

Edith say: The bees started disappearing when the killer bee reached the border with Mexico. They were killed out to prevent people being attacked and killed by the bees. The reasoning is that if the government didn't kill the bees, then locals would. If someone local was killed by a bee, people would start putting out something sweet with an insecticide in it and kill the bees. So, the government killed the bees and they keep it quiet. That way there can still be honey growers who can have pure strains of honey bees without the problem of the killer bee or locals killing their bees. It turns out that bees are a lot more unnecessary than the old popular opinion in the gardening books.
