Huge black spider in garage...what are chances it will enter my house

but certainly would be harmless. Not knowing where you are located doesnt help either.I certainly wouldnt worry about these spiders, I used to get dock spiders, wolf spiders, and huntsman spiders in the house from time to time,......
About three weeks ago, as we were pulling into the garage at night, I saw the most gigantic, hideous black spider crawling on the house right next to the garage door. It was right by the top of the garage door, but I think the garage door came down before it could get in. On Sunday, my husband said it had gotten into the garage and he smashed it. But, this morning, I saw another one! It crawled under the ceiling in the corner somehow. This spider is so large! I know it probably can't hurt me but it is causing me a great deal of anxiety. My question is: What are the chances it will get into my house, and will it likely have (or had) babies in my garage? I am looking for intelligent responses, not just responses to try to scare me more.

I would say not too likely but possible. Huge to me is larger than my hand so don't have a clue what spider this would be, but certainly would be harmless. Not knowing where you are located doesn't help either.
I certainly wouldn't worry about these spiders, I used to get dock spiders, wolf spiders, and huntsman spiders in the house from time to time, and these are quite harmless spiders. They don't survive well indoors, so even if there should be a hatching, the spiderlings will die off or soon leave.
As for entering your car, again, possible, just not likely. If you do happen to spot one in your car while driving, just very calmly and safely pull to a safe place, then deal with the spider.
Even a totally harmless huntsman can be fatal if you panic in traffic.
If you keep the car closed up, there is far less likelihood of spiders entering the passenger compartment.

There is a good chance it is in your house and if you see it capture it in a jar and set it free in a nearby park or something. It COULD have had babies in your house but I dont think its likely.
