My mom has a dislike for axolotyls, it's because of a personal experience she had with a friend and her pet axolotyl, apparently the axolotyl got out of the tank and walked around and it 'bit' her apparently.
I'm not sure if it's possible since axolotyls are amphibians, and as I recall frogs or other amphibians do not have teeth.
Do axolotyls really have teeth or not?

Yes they do and so it is possible she was bitten...
"Axolotls have barely visible vestigial teeth, which would have developed during metamorphosis"
