How many cubic feet of natural gas is needed to support 2016 kWh( kilowatts) per year ?
-
Note that kWh is kilowatt hours, NOT kilowatts. Totally different.
wikipedia:
The gross heat of combustion of one cubic meter of commercial quality natural gas is around 39 megajoules (≈10.8 kWh). this comes to 0.306 kWh per cubic foot.
2016 kWh / 0.306 kWh per cubic foot = 6588 cubic foot of gas.
Depends on what you mean by "support" of course. If you mean drive a generator to produce that much electric energy, you have to multiply by a factor to account for efficiencies.
