Which turns into 5.7 cents per foot cubed. 5 cents / ft ^3 seems like a fair number.-If you price by the cubic foot, will you be satisfied with $2.92 for shoveling this driveway/sidewalk when there is 1 inch of snow?......
I am starting a small business of snow shoveling. I am looking to price it by cubic feet. I am going to be doing driveway/sidewalk of a total of 700 feet squared. Then times by how much snow I get of course. What should the rate be? 5 cents feet cubed?

I'm guessing the driveway is 20 x 35, a typical size. For a half foot of snow I'd imagine you'd charge about $20. So for 350 ft^3 that's 20$. Which turns into 5.7 cents per foot cubed. 5 cents / ft ^3 seems like a fair number.

If you price by the cubic foot, will you be satisfied with $2.92 for shoveling this driveway/sidewalk when there is 1 inch of snow? Will you be satisfied with $17.50 for shoveling this same area when there are 6 inches of snow? Will you be satisfied with $35 for shoveling an entire foot of snow depth? Would you consider charging by time taken to shovel?
