The term tsunami has morphed to mean a wave created by a large water displacement, like an earthquake or undersea landslide, or undersea volcanic eruption...A tidal wave is created by tidal (gravitational) attraction of mostly the Moon on Earths ocean.......

Not much. Tsunami-Japanese; Tidal Wave-English

Tsunami is a Japanese term that initially meant any large harbor wave. It did not infer any origin. It could be a storm wave or tidal wave or seismic sea wave. The term tsunami has morphed to mean a wave created by a large water displacement, like an earthquake or undersea landslide, or undersea volcanic eruption...

A tidal wave is created by tidal (gravitational) attraction of mostly the Moon on Earth's ocean. Tidal waves can be small ripples or larger tidal bores.

Seismic sea wave is a more precise term for the type of wave that struck in Japan and in the Indian Ocean a few years ago as it was generated by a seismic event - an earthquake with significant vertical displacement on the ocean floor.

No, they are not the same thing.

Tsunamis are waves caused by the physical displacement of water - they are not caused by, or even influenced much by, the tides, and thus are not tidal waves. Tsunamis can be very large tens of meters in height) or very small (cm in height). Tsunamis can also be caused by anything that displaces water, including earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, explosions in or under water, or impacts in the water.

The name "tidal wave" implies a wave formed as a result of tidal forces. The only kind of wave formed this way is more correctly called a tidal bore.

Tsunami is the Japanese translation of Tide wave but is used in english terms as a wave caused by either earthquake, volcano or techtonic plate movement while a tide wave is a wave caused by tides and thusly is smaller

-
A Tsunami is caused by an earthquake. If it's not caused by an earthquake or tectonic plates it's not a tsunami.

-
A couple of feet and causation. Also, tsunami is spelled funny.

-
Tsunami, bigger.

They are the same thing. Tsunami is japanese and tidal wave is english
