A block slides down a track...

A block starts at rest and slides down a frictionless track except for a small rough area on a horizontal section of the track (as shown in the figure below). It leaves the track horizontally, flies through the air, and subsequently strikes the ground. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s2 .What is the speed v of the block when it leaves the track?

I know you have to calculate the velocity before it hits the rough area, which I calculated to be 7.14 m/s. I do not know what to do afterwards. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

v1 = 7.14 m/s Correct!

a = µ*g = -2.94 m/s²

v2 = √[v1² + 2ax] = √[7.14² - 2*2.94*1.0] = 6.71 m/s
