A man performs in a room with a ceiling 1.85 m above hand level. What is the maximum upward speed (in m/s) which he can give a ball without letting it hit the ceiling?

Use the kinematics eq;
v^2 = vo^2 - 2gy

let v=0 when y = 1.85 and then solve for the initial velocity "vo".
