Hi guys,
I'm doing a prac report about Convection and stuff like that. This time is about insulation.
I was just wondering a metal with two or more elements in it (e.g. steel = Iron+Carbon) it's called a alloy.
But what is a fabric called with more than two elements in it (e.g. polyester + Cotton) called?
p.s. if you do the 40 hour famine your cool.

Materials that are combinations can be called a hybrid, a blend or a composite material.
For fabric it is normally called a "blend"
The difference is one of physical composition.
If you had a wire with some strands of steel and some strands of nickel, it isn't an alloy.
the two materials are not mixed at the domain level.
