Whether there is life that has visited us or is able to I really doubt. It is impossible to keep something like that a secret for so long if it has happened. I know the government can keep things classified for a long time, but figure in how many governments there are, most others would have seen them too, and not everyone could keep it quiet. Also it seems odd that they would visit so many cultures for so long then just disappear. The more likely theory is if so they would perhaps be more like humans were and try to take us over. Think what happened when the Americas were discovered by Europeans. Colonized, and the natives largely pushed out. I can see this a a very real possibility if aliens did visit.
I don't know if you're a religious person or not, but it says in the bible that God created many worlds in which more people populate. I for one am fairly religious, so I do believe that there is life on other planets.
I realize that this doesn't exactly answer your question; I don't know of any photographs or clips that seem to be of U.F.O's. From what I have seen, I agree with you and believe most of them to be fake. But with our universe being as vast as it is, it's certainly a possibility.
Think about it. Even if you aren't religious and don't believe in that kind of thing, if our universe is as colossal as experts say it is (..and it is), then why would Earth be the only planet to have life forms on it? If the big bang or whatever the theory is now could happen in our galaxy, why wouldn't it happen in other galaxies as well?
