Researching paranormal (especially ouija boards) anyone got any personal experience

Details would be great, i'm just doing research, its mostly a hobby + intrigue,
i would especially like to know if you had an experience that changed you, or influenced the rest of your life, maybe changed your religion?
any information would be great, thankyou so much.

My mum when she was about 16 years old did a home-made ouiji board, & you know you're supposed to close off the session, just incase anything decides to stick around. She told me whilst she asked the general questions like ' is anybody there ' that the lights in the room were flickering, the glass on the table was spinning... Weird smells would come and go - because she was with a few friends they was all quite scared and because of this didn't close the session properly. So as you can guess things were wanting to communicate with them. My mum had strange encounters, starting with unusual noises, objects moving & misplaced or lost items, which gradually got worse over the weeks & doors would start slamming unexplained, she felt like she was constantly being watched even on her own, she would lay in bed and feel somebody sit next too you, it gradually got worse and she was home alone walking to the bathroom and pushed down the stairs, at this point she left the house, too this day she is paranoid about ghost encounters and anything paranormal. Actually at the minute strange things have been happening again even though she has had nothing to do with the paranormal since her teens.

When my dad was in his teens he went to into a shed with his friends. This shed used to belong to a house that got demolished years before and at the time my dad went in it was in the middle of no-where because it was all that was left of the house. They decided to do a ouija board inside it and they spent half an hour with their fingers centred on the glass. Nothing happened, they asked question but it didn't move at all. In the end they decided to leave it to go to the shop and go back and try again later. They were gone for about an hour and a half and when they finally went back the shed had burnt down completely. There was nothing left of it. Coincidence or paranormal related? I would say it definitely had something to do with the Ouija board!

When I was younger I used a ouijia board. Something followed me for about a year I had to research a lot and I couldn't take it anymore and I finally just kept yelling get away. Go away. Stay away. And it eventually left. Not a fun expirence.
